James wins 2025 Luke Hanley Award.

James

James pushes the boundaries of analytical chemistry in the analysis of live human T cells. His work aims to uncover how T cells package, transport, and release cytokines to communicate with one another. He has developed a MATLAB pipeline that detects individual cytokine-associated lysosomes within a single T cell and extracts their precise speeds and trajectories. His work reveals a previously unknown mechanism that may serve as a novel therapeutic target for combating chronic inflammation in autoimmunity, cancer, and dementia. Congrats, James!
