Badeia to receive the 2021-22 Paaren Fellowship!
Introduction
Dr. Herbert E. Paaren is a synthetic organic chemist and a UIC alum. Dr. Paaren has been a named inventor on 15 patents, many of these patented processes became the foundation for his business venture Tetrionics, Inc. In 2004, Sigma-Aldrich acquired Tetrionics, and Paaren and his wife, Denise Marino, launched an endowment at UIC’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to recognize up-and-coming PhD students for their outstanding academic accomplishments.
This year, we are lucky to have our very own Badeia to be recognized by this fellowship. Congrats!
